Hardy and Cornwall
As this year is the centenary of Hardy's return to Cornwall in 1913, I thought it might be interesting to dig out some info about Boscastle. I quite like this reading of 'At Castle Boterel':

Cornwall weekend
Just to remind all THS members, the Society is holding a weekend in Cornwall 7-10th March this year, to commemorate Hardy's Poems 1912-13.

There is a walk on the 8th that will take us over Windy Beak, the Cliff Without a Name, and through the Valency Valley, where Hardy and Emma lost the elusive picnic tumbler, as documented in 'Under the Waterfall.' The poem is reproduced, with interesting analysis, here:
